Elsayed Kandil is one of the Muslim workers in Australia. Originally from Egypt, he migrated to Australia in 1972.
He worked in Papua New Guinea for 5 years (1973-1977) in the Shipping and Ports section, then with the United Nations ESCAP Shipping Division for 2 years, then in Canberra's Federal Department of Transport and Communications, Shipping Information Division, for 10 years. He was Branch Manager for the Muslim Community Cooperative of Australia (MCCA) Ltd from March to July of 1997.
Retired to Sydney and is currently working as Translator with the Ethnic Affairs Commission of NSW, Australia, since 1990.
Elsayed Kandil has completed his Graduate Diploma in Management Information Systems from the Australian National University (ANU), and then a Masters in Business Administration, majoring in Management Information Systems, from Wollongong University (NSW, Australia) in 1993.
